I chose my current workplace, the Japan International Research Center for Agricultural Sciences, because of its strong international focus and its commitment to addressing global agricultural challenges. It offers an ideal environment where my research can contribute to broader, real-world impact. I am particularly motivated by the opportunity to collaborate with partners worldwide and work collectively toward sustainable solutions.

After joining, I quickly realized that I had made the right decision. The working environment allows a high degree of autonomy, enabling me to manage my pace effectively. At the same time, the organization strongly encourages collaboration, making it easy to connect with other researchers and jointly address agricultural challenges. Overall, my experience has been very positive.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is the opportunity to engage in both domestic and international research activities. Collaborating with partners around the world not only deepens my understanding of global agricultural challenges through direct experience but also strengthens my research capabilities. These collaborations enhance both my scientific expertise and my project management skills.

How do you spend your holidays?

During my holidays, I enjoy spending time outdoors to refresh myself. I often visit parks, go to the beach in the summer, and occasionally travel abroad during longer breaks. These activities help me recharge and maintain a good work–life balance.
