Foreign Researchers
Tsukuba Science City is one of the most popular cities in Japan for foreign researchers, foreign educators, foreign trainers and foreign student to come and live. Around 4700 foreigner from 154 countries stayed for more than 2 weeks at the universities, research institutes and training facilities in the city in FY 2007. The table below shows the changes in foreign researchers etc. from FY1988.

Population of foreign student at the University of Tsukuba is expected to increase twice from now, around 3000 person, until FY 2013.
