Tsukuba Center Inc. (TCI) was established by investment of the Ibaraki Prefectural Government, the Development Bank of Japan, and seventy six private companies n 1988. Taking full advantage of its location of the Tsukuba Science City, TCI is providing services that benefit regional development by supporting exchanges and cooperation of researchers and research organizations of governmental, academic and industrial sectors and by promoting the cooperation of R&D development among them. TCI is also acting as a base for support for the establishment of venture businesses by helping companies to initiate business, to develop a business plan, to conduct research, and to market the product.
